Weekly meeting of the Elkhart Rotary Club - this week held at Wellfield Botanic Gardens featuring a presentation by Amy Collier, Executive Director of Girls on the Run - Michiana.
Following a very successful Taste of the Gardens on Sunday, August 26, the Elkhart Rotary Club met at Wellfield Botanic Gardens for their weekly meeting. A gorgeous day provided the perfect backdrop for the best Rotary Club in the land, as they celebrated the success of their 10th annual fundraiser benefiting Wellfield Botanic Gardens and welcomed guests from the Chamber of Commerce, as well as our speaker and club guests.

Eric Garton gave a heartfelt thanks for everyone's support of Taste of the Gardens; a tremendous amount of planning, preparation and execution combine to make this a great community event! The nearly 3000 guests in attendance at Taste of the Gardens enjoyed the food, art, music, and fun that make the event what it is.

The presentation for the day featured Amy Collier, Executive Director of Girls on the Run - Michiana. Amy gave a wonderful overview of the program including their Mission dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Girls on the Run Michiana is an independent council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of over 200 councils across 50 states and the District of Columbia.
