President Peter Norton welcomed Rotarians and introduced Mick Faloon who provided thoughtful words, led the Pledge and Four-Way Test.
Glenn Peterson introduced our guests including Visiting Rotarian Brian Bloom from the Goshen Club. Guests of Rotarians were:  Jason Bryant, enjoying of his final weeks as an official 'guest' (Doug Risser), Norma Ortiz-Coronado (Jennifer Hayes), Irwin Larrier (Merritt Dilts), Rebecca Kuiken (Terri Rickel).
 
Announcements:
  • Eric Garton mentioned the importance of social media to our club, including a new initiative from the Marketing Committee which will add the following week's speaker to our Facebook page every Monday. We encourage everyone to LIKE and SHARE these announcements with their friends to encourage exposure of our speakers and how cool the Elkhart Rotary Club really is!
  • Peter Norton mentioned a volunteer opportunity on Sunday, October 14; Cancer Resources for Elkhart County is sponsoring an event and could use some help. Contact Peter if you're able to help out.
  • Don't forget, our Rotary Foundation Dinner is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2018 at the The Lerner Theater, Crystal Ballroom; 5:30pm (EST) - Fellowship and Cocktails, 6:30pm (EST) - Dinner. Still time to register, let's have a great showing from our club!
Sergeant Jim Rieckhoff took the stage for our club's weekly fundraising. - - Remember, fines raised at meetings throughout the year totaling approximately $10,000 support local not-for-profits through grants awarded in the spring.
