Today we welcomed Amy Strycker, Voter Outreach Specialist with the Elkhart County Clerk's office and Voter Registration, who presented "Elections by the Numbers". Presidential Election year is always one full of decisions. It is important for every individual to protect their rights by making their voice heard on election day. Today we had a special guest, visiting Elkhart for the first time, Visiting Rotarian Julie Sherry, from the Roseville, CA Rotary Club.
Sherry brought a flag to exchange and made a few comments from the podium with President Julie.
 

Several very important announcements today:
  • Jim Snodgrass: Are you interested in helping with Tolson Center for Community Excellence Reading Program? We could use your help 3-4 pm the 4th Wednesday monthly. The reading program is in partnership with the Elkhart Public Library and is now a part of the Pre-k Program, which got its start at Tolson through the help of the Red Ribbon Rookies, led by Jim Snodgrass. Great work!
  • Sharon Hirstein: We need volunteers to do the invocation, lead the Pledge of Allegiance and Four Way Test... it's a simple task, is for the good of the club and we could use your help - please reach out to Sharon if you can and would like to get scheduled for a day. It's a 2-minute commitment -easiest volunteering you'll sign up for!

2024 Elkhart Rotary Club Grant Request Application--Due April 1, 2024

As part of its mission of “Service above Self”, the Elkhart Rotary Club provides an opportunity for financial support for programs benefiting the Elkhart County community. Requests for donations/grants will be accepted by email until the end of day Monday, April 1, 2024. Grants normally range from $500-$1000. However, the Donations Committee will consider applications of exceptional merit requesting larger amounts. Funding of approved grants will occur Monday, June 17, 2024 at a regularly scheduled club meeting.
