Today's presenter was Mel Hall, candidate for congress
President Peter Norton opened the weekly meeting of the Elkhart Rotary Club. 
 
The Sergeant at Arms was Matt Lentsch, “fun” fines are capped at $5.00 per meeting and the money raised the Sergeant’s committee raises over the year is pooled into a fund and then disbursed annually to area non-profit organizations.
 
The Speaker was Mel Hall, Democrat Candidate for Indiana’s Second Congressional District. This is Mr. Hall’s first attempt to run for public office. He retired as CEO of Press Gainey a firm that specializes is hospital surveys. Mr. Hall believes congress should work five days per week instead of the current three, as well as term limits and pledges that if elected he will only run for three terms (six years). Mr. Hall supports President Trump on his China policy but would vote against him when he feels the President is wrong about a policy. Mr. Hall believes in reducing regulations except when it comes to the environment.
